“Oppenheimer,” is based on the 2005 book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer” by Martin J. Sherwin. “Oppenheimer” is famed director Christopher Nolan’s leading movie because of his choice to have the narrator be in first person. This allows the audience to witness the world from his perspective instead of having it be in the third person, which wouldn’t allow the audience to transport into the mind of the protagonist. This allows viewers to step in Robert Oppehnhemier’s shoes, seeing the emotions, thoughts, and actions of the character. This unique perspective adds an almost transportive feeling to the film, allowing the viewer to capture the core emotions.

“Oppenheimer” was nominated at the Golden Globes awards on Jan. 7. The film is about the making of atomic bombs and landed five honors which included winning the Best Motion Picture – Drama award, as well as acting awards for stars Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. Filmmaker Nolan won his first Golden Globe award as Best Director in the Motion Picture – Drama category for his work on “Oppenheimer.”
