The volleyball team will have a new head coach on the sidelines next season as high school Business teacher Alyssa Sedlak takes over for former coach Matt Kingsley who has resigned due to watching his daughter more in high school sports.

Sedlak was the Panthers’ freshman volleyball coach for the past two high school and club seasons. She played volleyball in high school and continued to play at Hiram University.

One of her main objectives for the upcoming season is to build strong chemistry with her players. She strives for them “to get better every day both physically and mentally through solid practice.”

The volleyball team will lose three key performers next season in Belle Potto, Sophia Algerio, and Tara Daschil, all of whom will graduate this June. Emily Egermayer, Sam Potto, and Karina Rose will try and lead the Panthers all the way next season.

She emphasized how important it is for her players “to build a strong bond with one another and develop the program into a cohesive unit throughout the levels.”

Glen Rock finished 16-10 last season under former head coach Matt Kingsley. They finished second in the NJIC Colonial Division.
