A Glen Rock girls relay team recently broke a meet record at the Bergen County relays.

The record was broken in the shuttle hurdle relay, a four person 10 hurdle event. The record for this event was previously set by the Cresskill girls team, then coached by Glen Rock Vice Principal Michael Pasciuto.

The record that was set by Mr Pasciuto’s team was 66 seconds, while the Glen Rock team managed to shave off a full second and set a new event record of 65 seconds. Although one second may not seem like much, in a race that is only 100 meters taking that much time off is an accomplishment.

This record was also part of a big win for the girls team who came in first in the Bergen County relays for the first time in 13 years.

The record was set by Hannah Vander Wall (’17), Alethea Jadick (’17), Selma Sose (’18), and Rachel McMahon (’18).
