  1. Election Day

On Nov. 8, voters will cast their pick for the Presidential Election. Many students over the age of 18 will take part in voting. The League of Women Voters has visited AP Government and Politics classes to inform seniors on the importance of voting.

  1. Thanksgiving

Gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, potatoes, pie, pumpkin, and last but not least…TURKEY! The half day on Nov. 23 marks the start of the celebrations. Whether your favorite Thanksgiving Thursday activity is going to the parade, watching football or preparing for Black Friday, the four and a half day break leaves plenty of time for you to enjoy your favorite fall activities with family and friends.

  1. Plenty of Days Off

If Thanksgiving break was too far into the month for you to be excited for then the Nov. 8 to Nov. 11 school recess is exactly what you need. Monday blues on Nov. 7 will not be so bad considering it’s the only day of school that week.

  1. Second Annual Community Showcase

This year on Nov. 2 from 7 pm to 9 pm, families are invited to meet in the High School Cafeteria  to “meet and greet” with several clubs and organizations in town. Everyone from the Boy Scouts to The Mom’s Club of Glen Rock will be in attendance to share educational, recreational and cultural opportunities.

  1. The Canterville Ghost

The Glen Rock Theatre Company will be putting on a Halloween themed show on Nov. 3, 4, 5 at 7:30 pm. The ghost story performance is kid-friendly and packed with fun surprises. Wear Halloween costume for one dollar admission!

  1. Report Cards

Marking period one ends on Nov. 15. Look forward to the release of your grades by the end of the month.
