Coffeehouse will be taking place in the cafeteria this Thursday, Dec. 3. Coffee house is an event in which students read poetry and perform acoustic music.

The entry fee for the event is $5, and there are expected to be around 200 students in attendance. Ms. Patricia Mahoney, who is also the head of the English department, started the program during the second semester of 1996 and has continued it every semester ever since. This will be her 20th year and 39th event, and next semester will be her 21st year and her 40th event.

“It’s a great way for kids to showcase their talent,” Mahoney said of the show.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Coffee will be donated by Starbucks, and snacks will be provided by Pomptonian.
