Glen Rock starts Friday Nights Tradition

by Jack Jensen

The high school football team’s first home night game will be against New Milford on October 9 at 6 p.m.

The game was initially scheduled to have a 1 p.m. start on Saturday, October 10. The recently installed lights have allowed the team to move the game to Friday night for the first time in the school’s history.

The lights were approved at the end of last year after years of contentious debate. They began installing the lights at the end of the summer.

“I’m really excited, it’s going to be a great experience for everyone,” Matthew Lange (’16) said.

In the first home night game Glen Rock will face New Milford, a team they beat last year by a score of 43-21. The game occurred on a Friday night at New Milford’s field.

This year, New Milford will come to Glen Rock for its first home night game.

Lange talked about starting new traditions as a senior, and he will have the chance to do so with this first night game on October 9 at 6 p.m.
