For the teenage food enthusiast, a burrito is always a great option. As both a convenient and tasty option, the burrito is a constant favorite amongst teenagers. But where is the best place to get a burrito in Bergen County? I have boiled down the comparative food joints to four establishments that exclusively serve burritos and other Mexican-inspired dishes. Q-Doba Mexican Grill, Moes Southwest Grill, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and Tito’s Burritos.
Tito’s Burritos
Price for Burrito $10-13
Located in Ridgewood, Titos Burritos is my least favorite Burrito joint out of the four. Their “yellow” rice tastes a little peculiar and is not the generic white/brown rice that other places serve. The tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream all taste fine; however, the meat and poultry are not to my liking. After multiple visits, the chicken and pork has seemingly tasted mushy, chewy, and bland. Despite this, their shrimp taco dishes are rather tasteful. The shrimp tastes right, and they are usually kind enough to stuff the tacos pretty fat — yet I would not recommend Tito’s Burritos as your first option.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
Price for Burrito $7-8
Easily one of the best places to get a burrito, Chipotle never ceases to satisfy anyone’s hunger. With their burritos priced at exactly 7 dollars, it is also one of the best price-friendly options around. Time after time, their burritos have been absolutely scrumptious, even after numerous visits, I have yet to have a bad experience. From their Brown Rice and Chicken, to their Steak and Guacamole, Chipotle is always a great option.
Moe’s Southwest Grill
Price for Burrito $8-9
When you walk into any Moe’s Southwest Grill, you are immediately greeted with the friendly (yet redundant) “Welcome to Moe’s” by their very kind staff. Their ingredients are all organic and make for a great meal. Their burritos are a bit larger than other places, however, when compared to Chipotle or Q-Doba, Moe’s is simply just not up to the game. Moe’s is also the only Restaurant that does not offer brown rice, or a whole wheat tortilla. Although it is still a great meal, I would rather have Chipotle or Q-Doba.
Q-Doba Mexican Grill
Price for Burrito $8-9
Q-Doba will forever have a special place in my heart. This is the best place to get a burrito in Bergen County. With both the option of brown rice, and a whole wheat tortilla, it is considered the healthiest option of the four. Their Chicken, Steak, and Ground Beef are always fresh, as are their tomates, sour cream, and guacamole. However, what sets Q-Doba apart is their Queso Sauce. With fresh pepper and cheese, the queso, when topped in the burrito, makes Q-Doba stand out from the pack.
