Jillian Rotondaro and Kelly Streaser are back again! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Roses are red
Violets are blue,
When you get to your date
You break your shoe!

Flowers are nice,
But chocolate is better-
When you get your soda,
You spill it on his sweater

Teddy bears are nice,
And so are cards.
You knock over the vase,
And it breaks into shards.

Cupid is devious,
And the night is just grim
His arrow hits you,
And sadly misses him.

Love poems are sweet,
Love birds romantic,
The night’s almost over,
You’re feeling so frantic.

You quietly go home,
And your date drives away.
You reflect on the events
Of this awful day.

You feel like the biggest
Loser around,
And then out of nowhere
You hear a strange sound

You see it’s your neighbor,
Sporting nice clothes
In the blink of an eye,
He hands you a rose:

“Happy Valentine’s Day,”
He says with a smirk.
You forget about your date,
‘Cause that guy was a jerk.

You realize it now
There was nothing to dread.
Cupid’s arrow missed your date,
But hit him instead.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
They had a good day,
We hope you have one too!
