Although only a freshman in Glen Rock High School, Evelyn “Evie” Hu has already made artistic contributions to the community. Taking multiple art courses has set her up for a high school career she wants to pursue. Evie started to draw and paint at a very young age with some help from her mother who inspired her to find patterns in nature and create art from that. The idea for this digital painting came to her in a dream where she and her brother were watching the sunset. In the future, Evie wants to become an architect using her mathematical and artistic skills. A piece of advice she would give to aspiring artists is to stop comparing your art with others, because what you make will always be different.
