Bake sale planned to fund-raise for track Nationals

A bake sale will be held today in the Hamilton Lobby and outside the auditorium.

Money is being raised to fund a trip for select athletes from the Track and Field team to compete in New Balance Nationals.

The meet is held every year in Greensboro, North Carolina and is not payed for by the school because it is outside of the NJSIAA season.

One team of girls and one team of boys will be selling baked goods made by themselves as well as Mrs. Gallo after school today, June 13 2016.

“Entry fees for the boy’s and girl’s relays are 180 dollars each, so if we could make 150 to help cover about half the cost of each that would be great,” Coach McCarten says.

Although the profits of the bake sale will not cover all of the costs it will cover a large chunk and lower costs for athletes.

Brownies, cupcakes, cookies, rice krispy treats, banana bread, and coffee cake will be on sale.
