Concern over double lab days abated

There may be some deja vu over the next few days.

The high school will have two Day 3’s in a row on Dec. 9 and 10, followed by two Day 4’s on Dec. 11 and 14.

Students expressed confusion about this schedule and students who have lab on Day 3 or Day 4 did not know whether they were going to have lab two days in a row.

According to Principal John Arlotta, the schedule resulted from a blunder.

“For some crazy reason, maybe at the printer, they made a mistake. For us to go back and change it, the rest of the calendar would be off,” Arlotta said.

There was an error that caused these double days in the schedule to occur, and it was not intentional.

Arlotta said that lab would be held on the first of the two days but not the second, a sentiment echoed by the Assistant Principal, Mr. Michael Pasciuto.

“I don’t think we should have double lab days,” Pasciuto said.

Students who have lab on Day 3 or Day 4 will only have lab for the first day.

The Board of Education sends the calendars to be checked, but the mistake went unnoticed.
