Taking New York’s Comic Con by storm, R.L. Stine revitalizes his famous book series, Goosebumps.

One of the most well-known young adult thriller novelists will be at the 2013 New York Comic Con – Reader, beware, you’re in for a scare.

Written in 1992 and with over 300 million copies sold worldwide in 32 languages, R.L. Stine (Robert Lawrence Stine) will be in New York for the Comic Con, signing copies of his bestselling book series, Goosebumps.

“I can’t wait to get my book signed!” said Christina McRae, a GRHS student and enthusiastic Comic Con attendee who hopes to get a few of her books signed.

R.L Stine will also be having his very own panel at Comic Con; he will be talking about his books and will be answering questions about them.

Xbox and Nintendo are bringing the big guns out at Comic Con this year with their new gaming systems, such as Xbox One and Nintendo’s handheld touchscreen gaming devices which are to be playable to the public.

Let’s not forget about the elaborately designed costumes that will be there. The costumes at Comic Con are always worth looking at and complimenting on. It is always fun to see the costumes that people wear, not just because it is funny or weird but because the costumes are often handmade and have the same (or close to the same) detail as the real one. It can be considered to be its own attraction at Comic Con.
