If you didn’t have a chance to catch the Emmy’s last Sunday, no worries – this is (basically) all you need to know. Here is a quick recap of the top 5 moments of the night.

  1. The Opening

Neil Patrick Harris’ hilarious opening was interrupted by past Emmy hosts including Jimmy Fallon, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jane Lynch. The prior hosts offered up some advice and bickered about why they weren’t asked back to host. Overall, it was an entertaining start to the award show.

  1. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

This dynamic duo was next to interrupt NPH, they heckled him while sporting 3D glasses and enjoying their popcorn. Tina and Amy encouraged him to “twerk it” and “take his pants off” (channeling Miley?). Neil declined. The two then proceeded to crawl/roll onto the stage to present the winner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

  1. The shortest acceptance speech ever

Nurse Jackie star and winner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Merritt Wever, was clearly in a state of shock, so she kept it short and sweet – “Thank you so much. Um…I gotta go, bye.” No wrap-it-up music necessary here.

  1. The Number in the Middle of the Show

Neil Patrick Harris opted out of the traditional opening or closing musical number. Instead, he performed at the middle mark of the show. From the cameos to the flips down the staircase, it was all we could have asked for. Keep doing you, NPH.

  1. Casual Sunday?

“They called me literally 45 minutes ago,” said Ferrell after he casually strolled onto stage in a black tee and some gym shorts alongside his three kids to present the last two awards of the evening, Best Comedy Series and Best Drama Series.
