“You’re fired,” has become synonymous first with the hit show, the Apprentice, and now the Celebrity Apprentice. The show began in 2004, and is now in the middle of its thirteenth season.
If you have not seen this show, go watch it! Celebrity contestants are divided into two teams and complete business tasks each week. For each task there is a project manager who oversees the task and makes sure everything goes smoothly. Projects usually include some sort of presentation for a company’s project, or a fundraising event. If it is a presentation task, the executives decide the winning team and award them with a pre-determined amount of money that goes to the charity of the project manager’s choice. If it is a fundraising task, all the money raised goes to the winning team’s charity. The losing team, however, does not get off so easily: someone must be fired.
It is a thrilling show to watch each Sunday at 9:00PM as celebrities clash on certain tasks, or work together to make something amazing. Each season brings its own twists and turns and is a roller coaster of uncertainty and excitement.
But this season in particular is special. This season presents the All-star Celebrity Apprentice, meaning that favorite celebrities from past seasons are all together on this epic season. The cast includes: Brande Roderick, Claudia Jordan, La Toya Jackson, Omarosa, Lil Jon, Dennis Rodman, and Bret Michaels on Team Power; and Dee Snider, Gary Busey, Lisa Rinna, Marilu Henner, Penn Jillette, Stephen Baldwin and Trace Adkins on the team called Plan B.
CAUTION: SPOILER ALERT!!!
At this point the show is down to the final four contestants, Lisa Rinna and Penn Jillette on Plan B. On Team Power are Lil Jon and Trace Adkins, a transfer originally from the other team. Plan B has been sweeping the competition, winning all but three of the ten tasks so far. But now that only four contestants remain, tensions are high and the remaining episodes will be heated. It’s anybody’s game at this point, and it’s impossible to tell who will win until we hear the final, “You’re fired!”
