November 8, 2021
The Glen Rock High School Wellness Center opened its doors on Oct. 6, located in Ms. Bacolas’ old office. Since the start of COVID-19, students have experienced a stressful 19 months. The Wellness Center provides a way to wind down and relax.
Mr. Klump, the Student Assistance Counselor for Glen Rock Middle & High School, founded the Wellness Center as a response to these unprecedented times.
The Wellness Center includes ways to wind down in stressful situations, such as playing with slime and coloring. It is open from 7:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Mr. Klump states that the main goal of the wellness center is “to spread mental health awareness in the community and the school.”
