The high school Theatre Company, LEAP, and the Alliance hosted their annual holiday party in room C-131 after school from 6:30 to 9 on Thursday.

This party is held each year for current members of the clubs as well as alumni that would like to visit their friends still in the club. Additionally, a group of students from Waldwick attended the party with their adviser.

The clubs held their annual planning meeting on Dec. 6 during lunch to come up with snacks games and activities.

The many activities included the movie Elf was playing during the party, pin the nose on Rudolph, and the decorated tables with snacks.

Each year the clubs try to come up with a charitable activity or donation opportunity, and this year was no different. People attending the party wrote and decorated letters to children that are being treated at St. Jude’s Hospital, and they felt it was a fun and rewarding activity to have at the party.

Theatre Company senior Abby Stern said that she has been attending this party since she was a freshman and was excited by this activity.

“It was a really fun activity to have at the party. I think it was so meaningful to have such a selfless activity for the teachers to put together,” Stern said.

Theatre Company executive board member Sofia Nolfo, senior, helped organize the snacks at the party and enjoyed the event. She helped organize the party for the first time last year and was excited to attend again this year. “It was really nice to mingle with other clubs and get together with them!” Nolfo said.

“I always love the holiday party because it’s so welcoming,” senior and Theatre Company executive board member Caroline Torpey said. “It’s always an enjoyable experience and I’m going to miss it next year.”
